BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — a 15-residue chain corresponding to a partial sequence of a protein identified in human gastric juice. Supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed single-use vial for laboratory and analytical work.
Unusually for a short peptide, four of its fifteen residues are proline, which is the structural feature most often referenced in stability and analytical method development work.
